Technical Specialist Role

Hybrid is a top-tier technology services practice based in Calgary. Our niche services are geared towards assisting innovative organizations of all sizes throughout the world.

We are looking for a Technical Specialist to join our vibrant team composed of multidisciplinary professionals, from PhD Research Chemists to Scientists and Engineers. Technical Specialist job duties include working closely with our lab/clients and is responsible for ongoing testing and operations of lab equipment in both a facility and field environment for fracturing, acidizing, cementing and coiled tubing applications.

Responsibilities
  • Understand and comply with all of Hybrid’s policies and safety rules
  • Follow standardized test procedures and equipment operation
  • Perform general lab tasks such as housekeeping and equipment calibration and maintenance
  • Receive samples and log in accordingly
  • Interface with clients, suppliers, and colleagues in a professional manner
  • Perform tests, write up results and report them as required
  • Organize and maintain test databases
  • Assist in Training of people as required
  • Work in the field as required
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering
  • Knowledge of testing equipment
  • Attention to detail
  • Comfortable in time-sensitive, project driven, team-based environment
  • Ability to work on call rotation
  • Must be able to travel abroad
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to work well within all levels of the organization
